Configuring Ethoca

Ethoca is now fully integrated with the Lime Light CRM for chargeback prevention and it will allow you to take advantage of our chargeback provider technology which posts data directly to their system through an automated process.

NOTE: This documentation is to assist merchants who are already live on the Ethoca network in setting up the automated process of working alerts through Limelight. If you are not currently using Ethoca and would like to find out how Ethoca Alerts can help prevent chargebacks and reduce fraud, please send an email to


In order to enable Ethoca to send your alerts to Limelight, you will need to follow four steps:


  • Subject line: Enable Limelight Integration
  • Current Ethoca Member ID: XXXXXX (can be located inside your Ethoca portal).
  • Current Ethoca Member Name: XXXXXX
  • The contact information of an authorized user within your company who will receive the API system username and password from Ethoca.
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Email address

Within 7 days the contact listed in step 1 will receive an Ethoca User Account Details email from Ethoca with the API username and password.


Step 2: Configure your Limelight CRM:

Inside of Limelight go to Settings>Providers,  and select "Add New Provider Profile" from the Actions drop-down menu.  Select 'Chargeback' as the type, select Ethoca from the Provider drop-down list, and fill out the required parameters.


API Username: This is provided to you by Ethoca in the email.

API Password: This is provided to you by Ethoca in the email.

Alias: This is for internal purposes only; it helps you identify a specific chargeback provider among several of them in your CRM.


 Step 3: EMAIL

  • Subject line: Limelight API credentials
  • The Third Party API Username and Password created by Limelight. These credentials can be obtained from Admin Setting > API Accounts in a section called 'Third Party API Accounts':


  • Push target URL: https://{yourlimelightcrmdomain}

Step 4: Assign the Ethoca chargeback profile to your campaigns.
